Special interest · Knee osteotomy

Knee arthritis before 60? Realignment may help you keep your own knee.

An osteotomy shifts weight away from the worn side of the knee by gently correcting the alignment of the leg. For the right patient it can ease pain and delay the need for a replacement.

Keeps your own joint, cartilage and ligaments

Suited to some active patients with arthritis on one side of the knee

Planned from full-length alignment X-rays and assessed in clinic

Suitability is always assessed in clinic, and results vary from person to person.

Doctify 2024: Outstanding Patient Experience

Google reviews

From the first appointment everything was explained clearly and without rushing. I was nervous about the operation, but Mr Morapudi and his team made me feel looked after at every stage. Six months on I am walking my dog every morning again, which I had not managed for years.

Kind, patient and very honest about what surgery could and could not do for me.

He took time to show me my X-rays and explain why an osteotomy suited me better than a replacement at my age.
